The drive to Indianapolis for Gen Con runs about 3.5 hours.

Grand Rapids hosts its own Comic Con annually in the fall at the DeVos Place Convention Center. The event draws comics creators, celebrities, cosplayers, and collectors from across West Michigan. It's a solid regional convention that punches above its size for comic creator access.
